Finance Assistant

Marketing Agency | Central London (Shoreditch) | 25k - 32k depending on experience| Hybrid, 2 days WFH

An award-winning, independent advertising agency based in the heart of Shoreditch is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their close-knit, vibrant team.

Working directly with the Finance Director, this is a brilliant opportunity to step into a varied finance role where you can take ownership of day-to-day operations while also getting hands-on experience with management accounts and month-end processes.

Responsibilities - Finance Assistant

Take charge of processing supplier invoices and ensuring they’re approved and accurate
Reconcile supplier statements, resolve any discrepancies, and keep things running smoothly
Prepare weekly payment runs and manage petty cash and bank reconciliations
Build strong relationships with suppliers, handling queries and payment issues with confidence
Support with VAT returns and statutory filings
Get involved in month-end close, including preparing journals, accruals, and prepayments
Assist the FD with financial analysis, reports, and ad hoc projects
Play a key part in keeping the agency’s finance operations efficient and organised

The Person - Finance Assistant

A confident, proactive communicator - someone happy to chat with colleagues across all levels of the agency
Strong numerical skills and a high level of attention to detail
Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
Solid Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas)
Experience with Paprika or similar project-based accounting software is a big plus
Prior experience in a finance role, ideally within a creative or agency setting
